Relatives of Trinis in Syria frustrated …want more done to bring loved one’s home
Relatives of Trinidad and Tobago nationals stuck in refugee camps in Syria are questioning the “challenges” that Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds referred to last week in bringing these individuals home. He responded to a question from Independent Senator Paul Richards, who asked him to give an update on the work of the Cabinet-appointed committee to address the repatriation of nationals from refugee camps in Syria, said the Government’s work in respect of the repatriation of nationals from conflict zones was primarily conducted through Task Force Nightingale—a multi-agency platform organised to carry out the work of the Government in the repatriation of T&T citizens and others entitled to citizenship from conflict zones.
