The Sustainable Development Goals report 2024
The Sustainable development report is published every year during the month of June before the United Nations summit of the future in September. Every year, the Sustainable Development Report provides the most comprehensive assessment of the performance of all 193 UN Member States on the 17 SDGs. Governments and civil society alike use the SDR to identify priorities for action, understand key implementation challenges, track progress, ensure accountability, and identify gaps that must be closed in order to achieve the SDGs by 2030.
The SDG index measures the total progress towards achieving all 17 SDGs as a percentage.
Each country’s actions can have positive or negative effects on other countries’ abilities to achieve the SDGs. The Spillover Index assesses such spillovers along three dimensions: environmental & social impacts embodied into trade, economy & finance, and security. A higher score means that a country causes more positive and fewer negative spillover effects.
Trinidad and Tobago ranked 125/166 with an SDG index of 61.83%.
