REPATRIATION OF TRINIDADIAN NATIONALS

In our contribution to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) submission to the United Nations Council, we aim to address a critical issue:

• The repatriation of Trinidadian nationals, particularly women and children, from Syria.

This outline provides a structured plan.

• To assess the government’s repatriation efforts of  Trinidadian nationals in Syria, primarily women and children. 

• Sustainable Reintegration Of Repatriated Persons who were in Syria

• Interviews with Trinidadian nationals who were in Syria and their families & families of those still in Syria

• Establish a National Human Rights Institute 
• Researching human rights conditions in Syria. 

In doing so we aim to analyse the government’s efforts to repatriate and reintegrate nationals who are or were in Syria and identify the challenges in their repatriation or reintegration into society.
